1. We’ll talk you through the entire process and make sure this treatment is the right option for you before we even start.
2. We’ll apply an anesthetic, much like getting a cavity filling, so you won’t feel anything during the process. If you do feel any discomfort, let us know and we’ll help make you feel more comfortable.
3. We’ll use a laser or a scalpel to gently cut away the excess tissue. We use soft-tissue lasers when we can because they immediately close the gums, so it heals faster and shortens any recovery time.

Once we’re done you may experience some sensitivity for a few days, but after that the treatment is finished. There’s nothing you need to do to maintain the treatment, just your usual oral hygiene routine. That’s it!
